Prosecution to finish cross-examination of schizophrenia expert Dr. Raquel Gur on day 46 of the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70. @wp... from what I've heard and read JH parents have been in court everyday even before the trail started... sitting behind him mom on his left side closest to the wall and his dad next to her and that JH has never interacted with them in all this time...

There were some questions about GB's potential military background the other day...he is currently a Lt. Col. in the US Army Reserve and has twice been to Iraq, last serving in Tikrit (2010-11) as the top prosecutor; I believe he was with he 4th ID. Also, apparently, he and Dan Recht are political rivals though it appears indirectly.

Yes, yes, Dr. JH is most certainly crazypants - sick. Yet! He planned, in detail, everything he did. You can't have it both ways. He cannot be so sick in mind that he is incapacitated, yet functional enough to do mass murder on July 20, 2012. Get to the meat of the problem and questions, pleeeaaassseee.

I will have to say: when Dr. Gur says that people of Holmes high intellect don't write as he did in his journal, I disagree, I remember many classmates from my college days writing, saying many very heavy statements (heavy as in deep thought). I think some on the jury might think as I do.

She picks and chooses what she wants so it will support her original opinion that he was insane. Even after more than enough evidence, at least in my mind, came out after her report that concluded he was sane at the time of the murders. Mentally ill..yes..insane..no.

Not wanting to sympathize with JH, but I can't imagine how difficult social anxiety can be. Its funny/ kinda scary listening to all this and realizing how similar his social avoidance is to mine. I'm not at the level that he is with the anxiety but I am very introverted, I didn't feel need to or see the benefit to socialize with anyone through schooling, in college similar fashion I didn't initiate any interaction with people in the dorms, I lived alone(and loved it) for 2 years after the dorms and this continues to today. I'm just not a social person.
