I hate how they are talking about him like he is important
by MJ7/20/2015 8:41:51 PM
The importance of this 5th grade teacher is to re-humanize a murderer...you have to remember they are trying to save his life...anything and everything they can do to make it less likely the jury impose death is what they are going to do...I am sure you'll here from his boy scout leader and the neighbor lady whose car he washed, etc.
by PA Watcher7/20/2015 8:41:54 PM
Did he just say JH's parents were in the courtroom?
by Kristle7/20/2015 8:41:56 PM
Who cares at this point about how he did in school in the 5th grade no less. What about Veronica who never got to the 5th grade! Grrrrrrr
by TLR7/20/2015 8:42:00 PM
Wonder what the PT will ask.
by Tammy Garrison7/20/2015 8:42:02 PM
Need we remember he killed a first grader??
by Kristle7/20/2015 8:42:05 PM
Did they say why he had to be taped and now do this live for the jury?
by LG7/20/2015 8:42:08 PM
I just tuned in for the afternoon. What are we looking at? It says "Live", but the jury's is off today, correct? what's going on?
by Nadine7/20/2015 8:42:09 PM
I bet the teacher is anti-death penalty and that is why he is here to testify
by FPysch 7/20/2015 8:42:14 PM
He kind of looks like Woodcock to me... ;)
by LG7/20/2015 8:42:16 PM
@ sherri I agree
by emma7/20/2015 8:42:17 PM
"Wow, what a neat kid!" Karrer wrote in note to gunman's parents.
by anica.padilla7/20/2015 8:43:01 PM
yes his parents are in there
by emma7/20/2015 8:43:04 PM
If Karrer was 5th grade teacher - why did he bring 3rd grade school annual?
by Magee7/20/2015 8:43:10 PM
@Magee Karrer testified it was a print error - it was his 5th grade year.
by anica.padilla7/20/2015 8:43:40 PM
@CKP On trial for sentencing it still baffles me that a 5th grade teacher is on the stand when they remember minimal about the defendant. In my opinion this is just showing that theyre was nothing wrong but everyhting right about Holmes.. clearly no one will ever truely know why he fell off or what caused him to do such horrible crimes. I just hope true justice is served for everyone especially the families of the victims
by Ber Celeste Nariah Escobedo7/20/2015 8:43:44 PM
This teacher says he cares about him. Ugh
by MJ7/20/2015 8:43:46 PM
I wonder what Holmes has on this guy?
by Resa7/20/2015 8:44:09 PM
Karrer's testimony is being recorded and will be played for the jurors after they return Wednesday.
by anica.padilla7/20/2015 8:44:35 PM
I though the jury was out until Wednesday
by Deb Corwin7/20/2015 8:44:37 PM
Ber- Obviously, what he remembers isn't minimal and if one juror thinks, "This guy wasn't always a horrible guy. He has something redeeming about him", then the DT has done their job.
by CKP7/20/2015 8:50:07 PM
With this witness, ALL I can think about is Veronica.
by kindlezee7/20/2015 8:50:11 PM
@ Mark Founded in 1998 as the nation's first free internet service provider, NetZero made a name for itself by offering highly affordable access in the early days of the web.
by Suzanne7/20/2015 8:50:13 PM
Oh, sorry, I missed that part.
by Magee7/20/2015 8:50:15 PM
ok that makes send. She keeps saying not to interrupt for the jurry
by Deb Corwin7/20/2015 8:50:17 PM
He was his teacher in 1998-1999 so Netzero was operable then.
by Kristle7/20/2015 8:50:20 PM
While it is tempting to hate everyone who testifies for JH, and don't doubt that I believe in his guilt, I would have loved to have this guy and my kid's teacher. He loves the kids and is very positive. We need more teachers like him.
by Tammy Garrison7/20/2015 8:50:22 PM
@Suzanna DT has to do everything they can to make JH re-humanize him and make him look like a non monster.....to save his life as he is up for the DP
by LG7/20/2015 8:50:24 PM
Deb, they are. This a prerecorded testimony.
by Tammy Garrison7/20/2015 8:50:30 PM
IMO the witness is nervous because of the crime Jimmy's accused of.
by Kristle7/20/2015 8:50:32 PM
I know Suzanne, I was a subscriber then. The dates just didn't seem to add up. According to this witness either Jimmy himself or Al Gore invented the internet it would seem. Maybe I heard the date wrong when Jimmy was in the 5th grade. If it was in 1998 than some of this testimony was plausible.
by Mark7/20/2015 9:02:21 PM
Wish I had that teacher. JH was indeed a great guy. Sad what became of him after grad school.
by Mark7/20/2015 9:02:24 PM
WOW!!! a character witness from the fifth grade, perfect attendance, great influence on other kids -what a prize!!!
by JW7/20/2015 9:02:32 PM
I love this prosecution .. nice job!!
by Ber Celeste Nariah Escobedo7/20/2015 9:02:35 PM
So is anything happening tomorrow?
by Tammy Garrison7/20/2015 9:02:37 PM
So, does that mean the jury will see the recording of this witness?
by Brenda Cash7/20/2015 9:02:39 PM
Not pre-recorded. Being recorded now to show the jury later.
by CKP7/20/2015 9:02:41 PM
I think he's trying to get the defendant to look at him.... He has that "I'll wait" look teacher's get when he looks over.
by Lynn7/20/2015 9:02:52 PM
Can someone please tell me what we're watching please. I had to go out for a bit.
by Aly7/20/2015 9:03:18 PM
Who went digging the JH's attic for all these old report cards?
by Victoria7/20/2015 9:03:21 PM
"the defendant looks the same to you now as he did in 5th grade?" " pretty much yes"... way to take one for Jimmy!
by frippo7/20/2015 9:03:29 PM
And the Chatanooga kid was real nice all through school.
by NT87/20/2015 9:03:36 PM
Bet the Colombine shooters were nice kids in grade school also.
by NT87/20/2015 9:03:39 PM
I wish Dr. Gur would examine the rest of that group maybe she could prevent something.
