Prosecution calls Stefan Moton.
Stefan Moton attended the midnight premiere of the Batman movie on July 20, 2012.
Stefan Moton said the day of the show he and his brother talked about how excited they were to see the movie.
Stefan Moton said he and his brother Lamar Lane saved money all week to pay for the movie.
Prosecutor asked Stefan Moton if he walked into the theater - clear reference to the fact that he is now in a wheelchair.
Stefan Moton: "Out of nowhere just like a canister flew through the air... I thought it was a prank."
Stefan Moton: "I tried to call my brother's name but I couldn't get the words out. I think it paralyzed me instantly."
Prosecutor: "Do you ever remember seeing the shooter?"
Stefan Moton: "No."
Stefan Moton said he woke up 2 or 3 days later at Aurora South Hospital and the doctors told him he was paralyzed from the chest down.
Stefan Moton was hospitalized for a month before transferring to Craig Hospital for about 2 months.
Stefan Moton was shot in the collar bone. The bullet has never been removed.
