Aurora movie theater shooting trial day 20: Videotaped interviews with gunman to be played in court

Day 20 in the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. Today, prosecutors plan to question state-appointed psychiatrist Dr. William Reid to the stand and play videotaped interviews between the doctor and the gunman. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70. AC has to make a statement to the jury so Ormans giving him his advice on how to delicately do that. If AC says anything about JH being remotely sane he will have leverage to cry to the Judge "Your honor, this is what I'm talking about. Mistrial."

? for Legal Beagle: Can a judge tell an attorney for either side to stop making so many objections? When does it cross the line of defending your client and objecting only to shorten the PT's time to present evidence? (or just to be annoying and distracting)

I don't think they will get a mistrial, this Judge has been fair to both sides AND brings a lawful balance, if you will, to a case such as this.

Idk if anyone else remembers but just the other day on the trial the judge came back from lunch and stated how beautiful the weather and outside was it was gold I felt like he was rubbing it in JH face it was great????

Are the sheriffs there to protect JH from others, or to help keep order in the court? My brother was with Federal Marshall's during McVey trial and he was assigned to protect McVey in the courtroom.

@doc they've kind of touched on that. they are allowed to make as many objections as they see fit.. the jury has been instructed to not let that effect their decision. it's either team's job to make many or few objections.
