Aurora movie theater shooting trial day 20: Videotaped interviews with gunman to be played in court

Day 20 in the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. Today, prosecutors plan to question state-appointed psychiatrist Dr. William Reid to the stand and play videotaped interviews between the doctor and the gunman. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70. @Angela I watched quite a bit of casey anthony and most of george zimmerman. I watched almost all of jodi arias's trial. jodi arias was the trial that I followed most closely.

I watched all of Casey Anthony trial. I saw way more of that trial than the jury did. They sent the jury out of the court room so often it was ridiculous. Wasn't hard to believe they found her Not Guilty.

@Angela george zimmerman and jodi aris were exclusively on HLN. Part way through george zimmerman's trial (I think) Court TV went off the air and the trial was only on HLN.

I believe he didn't cover his tracks because it supports his insanity ploy. He stated in his notebook that it was "99%" certain he would be caught.

Did you all notice that when some of the shooting survivors took the stand, that the court officers would stand up and block the path to JH? and in some cases a few more court officers were added when certain survivors took the stand to supplement the ones already there. Found that interesting. Must have been some threats made or something.

IMO he put thought into typing each picture sent at different times deliberately making them the first 4 letters of a keyboard. Or could be explained away as another attempt at his dry humor.

Just thinking....experts charge lots for their time. If there's 22 hrs of tape' with pros questions and the play some parts again for cross' this expert is going to cost a small fortune....
