APOLOGIES - TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.
Toews: "I had worked all day so I actually fell asleep before the movie started. Ashley woke me up."
Toews: "After I noticed I was bleeding, my head was gushing blood, I looked up toward the front of the theater... I noticed a green infrared laser going through the fog."
Toews on the gunman: "He seemed calm to me."
Toews: "I saw one person dragging themselves across the floor toward the exit. Then I noticed the shooter shooting towards those people."
Toews: "I told [Ashley], 'We need to go,' but she couldn't move,"
Toews on emergency responders: "They checked their pulses... and Ashley had a pulse but Veronica did not."
The first responder carried Veronica down to the front and tried to perform CPR, Toews said.
Toews: "I helped get Ashley into one of the cars that was right outside the exit."
Toews said he thought Veronica would be coming in the same car to the hospital and tried to get out, but they basically forced him to stay in the car.

Prosecution calls Stephen Barton - he was on a cross-country road trip and "just happened to be in Colorado" on the night of the shooting.
