Day 34 in the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. Today, CU psychiatrist Dr. Feinstein will return to the stand. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70. Good Morning, Anica m'dear. I am signing on early to ask a question. I really do not understand the use of "hearsay" in a trial and it is frustrating to all of us. Most of us understand hearsay as "Janey told Susie, who told me...", not "I asked about my child and the nurse said...", or "The police officer told me to..." Since this is the basis of some of the arguments against Ashley testifying to certain things on Friday, a good explanation from the Leagal Expert would really, really, be helpful and help difuse the outrage that is about to descend from all the watchers here. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and, perhaps, have it addressed.

I don't believe that he is heavily medicated or sedated. I do believe that he is adequately medicated to be "present and aware" of these trials. It would be against the law to have him so incredibly doped up on medication that he couldn't be a part of his own trial. While the dosage of medication that he may be on may be enough to sedate an elephant it is also very possible that over the past couple years with the aid of constant monitoring and tweaking of his medications that he is on the right dosage & right medication. I don't think that he appears zombie like, I think that he has been coached to not show emotion or make any big movements.

All survivors injuries suffered are horrific and Ashley Moser's long list of injuries gives me nightmares. I hope their testimony causes JH to not just. "Regret" that he caused it but more, idk what, just regretting it seems too cavalier.
