Day 34 in the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. Today, CU psychiatrist Dr. Feinstein will return to the stand. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70. @MJ I believe his daughter testified a few weeks ago. She had to have the police break into their house, as Gordon had the keys and they "didn't know where he was". It was heartbreaking.

I kind of agree with DT on this - what is the probative value to have his grad schhol application or tax return entered into evidence? Is it to further prove sanity? They have already shown that he was sane during the planning of the crime. I just don't get this one.

@JG I have a brother that is doing 6-8 in Luisianna and I can tell you theft of prisoner SS#'s is huge. I have been fighting companies for years on this, telling them that he is not released to go shopping at JC Penney or buy a car. It is ridiculous and time consuming.

@DocJ--The burden of proof of Holmes' sanity is on the prosecutors in the state of Colorado. They need to introduce every shred of evidence that supports their case.

@ MJ The one that testified was, I think, about 17 at the time. They had spent the day making cupcakes or something, and just hanging out before she had to leave for college in the fall.
