Day 34 in the Aurora movie theater shooting trial – People vs. James Eagan Holmes. Today, CU psychiatrist Dr. Feinstein will return to the stand. What time does court begin in the morning?
by Charleen Hamilton6/18/2015 6:08:52 PM
exactly why they use this as training video now. Do not make those shackles loose!

by Suzanne6/18/2015 6:08:55 PM
What was the point to the video? I know the Deputy was telling him that it is time to go to court, but was this to show was he legally sane or insane?

by 19186/18/2015 6:13:26 PM

Can someone give me a short synopsis do today?
by Tammy Garrison6/18/2015 6:13:35 PM
@Charleen Hamilton- Around 8:35 to 8:40 ish. Jurors are there at 8:15.
by EZ6/18/2015 6:13:38 PM
Wah. Don't like sitting somewhere with nothing to do? Don't kill people.
by jward126/18/2015 6:13:43 PM
he looks pretty sane to me.....
by briannam0niqu36/18/2015 6:13:45 PM
@NeuroNonsense, I think in some, brilliance breeds insanity.
by Resa6/18/2015 6:13:51 PM
I think that there is something hat has been withheld from us, like he got out of the shackles and smirked at the police officer before something important was said or done but the DT doesn't want us to know about it.
by Stephany6/18/2015 6:14:01 PM
They asked him one question about the video with a sustained answer and now it's done?
by Angela Freeman6/18/2015 6:14:04 PM
@EZ--Everything the prosecution does is toward proving Holmes was and is sane.
by flip6/18/2015 6:14:07 PM
@morgan - Watch what?
by Angela Freeman6/18/2015 6:19:24 PM
Oh, that was what I thought at first. Thanks flip
by EZ6/18/2015 6:19:26 PM
I don't think so. I don't think the judge would sustain an objection to information that JH got out of his shackles.
by Angela Freeman6/18/2015 6:19:28 PM
@NeuroNonsense: I've read that 1/2 of congress is Bipolar!

Spengler says, "We're not stipulating quite as much as you thought...even though we fully admit that Holmes did it".
by flip6/18/2015 6:19:36 PM
Well it's pretty obvious we were about to find out what he was doing but the judge denied it.
by Della (Me)6/18/2015 6:19:38 PM
Thank goodness the prosecution did not fall for all of the DT's previous b.s. about "fully stipulating" this, that, and everything except his sanity. So now they are trying to cast doubt about the origin of e-mails that Holmes wrote.
by flip6/18/2015 6:21:03 PM
@flip: About what time did she say that?
by anica.padilla6/18/2015 6:21:18 PM
@anica--that was my characterization, not a literal quote. Sorry for the confusion.
by flip6/18/2015 6:40:07 PM
Based on his previous rulings, I feel confident it wasn't anything like that. Someday we might get to know for sure, but that would be a relevant thing.
by Angela Freeman6/18/2015 6:40:18 PM
What is the difference between a court exhibit and a PT or DT exhibit? Does the jury still get to see court exhibits in deliberation?
by DocJ6/18/2015 6:40:21 PM
I don't understand the video as it pertains to sanity because it is his knowing right-from-wrong at the time of the crime.
by Jennifer6/18/2015 6:40:24 PM
LOVE Kornfeld...one of the only people I've ever heard just say it like it is.
by Niki C6/18/2015 6:40:26 PM
I think the video was to show that the defendant was displaying that he was trying to get out shackles and that this act alone shows that he is cognizant of his surroundings displaying sanity. The fact that he checked the window to see if the guards were going to see him displays awareness that he what he was doing was wrong. Again showing that the defendant knows right form wrong.

Legal analyst thinks that people who try to escape from jail are insane? I think a lot of prisoners try to escape from jail.

How much of Ashley Mosers testimony is going to be limited?
Regardless of how the judge rules on Ashley Moser's testimony, it cannot be denied that she is one of the strongest women on the planet. If I lost not one, but both of my children, I don't know how long I could stay in this world.
by litprof6/18/2015 7:36:52 PM
@litprof: My boss has already agreed to take over for me if I can't handle Ashley Moser's testimony. I don't know if I even want to try.
by anica.padilla6/18/2015 7:39:14 PM
That last video was a waste of time.I'd be doing the same thing if I had to sit there for hours with nothing to do.
by Barbara Crowley6/18/2015 7:39:26 PM
Judge has a huge brain
by jerry6/18/2015 7:39:29 PM
ashley moser is no different from any other witness.

This is how JH should spend the rest of his miserable life. 23 hours a day, 7 days a week. 6x8' cell, no windows, no communication. I wonder how many points his "value" will be then.
