@Suzanne: This isn't even about whether or not he did it because, as you said, that's already been admitted. This is about whether he was sane or not at the time of the shooting and it's still their job to protect him and his rights.

@S33: OF COURSE he’s insane. No sane, rational person goes to a theater and shoots and kills people. A sane, rational person doesn’t go rob a bank and kills a teller. No sane, rational person blows up a building in Oklahoma. The thing is, HE PLANNED it. He prepared for it. He went to the range and practiced. He methodically and meticulously planned everything. Right down to the police coming to his apartment to arrest him.

@FMM: Ok? Mentally ill people can still plan things. Mental illness affects everyone in different ways. I was just stating that this trial wasn't about guilt or innocence, it's about determining whether he was sane or insane at the time of the shooting since a NGRI plea was entered.
