@ Edy, While I think that the parents probably should have been more diligent when they received information from Dr Fenton, I don't understand how you can decide unequivocably that they were irresponsible parents who were glad to have him out of their home, etc.

Mr Holmes said that other kids were always coming over to their house, yet as far as I can remember most witnesses of JH age said they only went to JH home once, It does not add up.

Unfortunately this is part of the legal process- good or bad it must be endured by both parties. The outcome will depend only on the effect it has on 12 people sitting in the jury seats.

@Darrin....you heard what happened to them in the theater...not the long term effects and from the deceased family members victims. There is so much more than what has been told!

okx- not sure what you mean- please elaborate. A lot is known about these mental illnesses and usually people who know the individual well pick up signs that things aren't going well.

This mitigation will play out even if you think the jury misjudged the case. The PT was on a nighttime joy ride (my opinion) with the case. It was complex with lots of room for error and required considerable critical thinking because of missing links in his mental illness. Unlikely to be asked, but very likely, like myself, his family saw the evidence and testimony as an act of "insanity". Can't imagine the life of anyone who would chose to kill a mentally ill person. Still haven't heard a good answer.

@Clancy- couldn't agree more about the screaming video- for a second I couldn't imagine why they were playing a video or whatever of the movie theater.

@Okx I would like to know how the PT had a "nighttime joyride?" IMO the DT has not done their job!! Their is lack of evidence on their side to have even had "insane" plea. He killed people and especially a kid and unborn child?
