@AJS: They call is "prejudicial" meaning it could be emotional for the jurors and could make them form opinions based on that instead of facts

Just a general question--- Why don't they refer to James Holmes by name? They always say "The suspect" or "The defendant".

People don't want to glorify him, or make him famous. So a lot of people are refusing to call him by name so we call him JH or the Aurora Theater Shooter or the defendant.

I think they won't refer to him by name because they don't want the jury to connect with him as a person i.e.: they just want him to be seen as the defendant and nothing more.
