Jurors can expect to see more video and hear more testimony from Dr. William Reid, the court-appointed psychiatrist who recorded over 22 hours of his interviews with Aurora movie theater shooting gunman James Holmes before deciding the shooter was legally sane.

I am struggling between him being mentally ill and just plain E.V.I.L.! I have had 2 people very close to me with mental illness (one with a very severe problem) and they did not have the "mind capacity" for all of this evil! I know everyone is different - but too much planning and pre-meditation on his part for me to wrap my mind around him being mentally ill!

Remember the old comic books with the ad on the back showing the wimp getting sand kicked in his face? That is the gunman, to me. He's not special or super crazy or bada**. He's a guy who didn't like being unnoticed, got angry (tho he won't admit it) and killed and maimed dozens of innocent people to feel like a big man. All of this delving into his "feelings" is irrelevant and self-indulgent, but I understand it's necessary in the judicial process. There, I said it.

The idea of him wanting to be noticed doesn't mesh with his illness. He likely wanted the exact opposite in general - to be UNnoticed. I think he just figured he was going to die before this was done anyway, so he might as well make a face to remember.
