Defense attorneys plan to call their last witnesses of the week and probably show more video to the jurors.

In all fairness, how many doctors who have rendered opinions in this case, had experience with a mass murderer who attacked a packed movie theater?

Interesting that many people here seem to think Brauchler is appealing. I find him cocky and arrogant--not at all likeable. This is not a comment on the entire PT or the entire DT. But if I were on the jury, Brauchler's manner, voice, and attitude would make me doubt him. He seems like a showman. I've never been a fan of drama school law. I respect everyone's opinion (in this chat room and elsewhere) and I realize my opinion is in the minority here. In one case, earlier, Brauchler took a witness to the mat for a hyphen. In the current case, if this witness is not in favor of the death penalty (and many people are not), that has zero to do with his ability to be an expert witness. Without honoring differing opinions on the death penalty, we walk very close to mob mentality. He not on the jury. He's a witness. The jury should hear from both death penalty proponents and exponents. We didn't look at Reid's opinion on the death penalty--and if it was pro-death penalty, it would have equally strong bias. Is Brauchler implying that a witness can not have an opinion on the death penalty?? Everyone has an opinion on it, and if they don't, that might be a problem. So Brauchler's mocking tone seems extremely unprofessional. Also-- it surprises me that the Channel 7 moderator makes reference to Dexter--seemingly jokingly. And also states a clear opinion that s/he thinks the prosecution is rocking it. I was under the impression that a moderator moderates--end of job description. I could be wrong in this case, and if I have a misunderstanding of the moderator's role, I will stand corrected. Since the full trial has yet to be played out, I remain undecided. I have some strong emotional responses, but that does not mean I won't listen to testimony openly and without bias, while the trial is in progress. I will say that the public defenders I have known are among the hardest working, most socially conscious, and most compassionate people I know. In this chat room, I don't need to stand up for prosecutors, though I think they do an equally good job--in general. But in specifics, I find Brauchler to be a politician and a drama student.

AC stands for "Anderson Cooper", because Brauchler looks like him. However, when I spoke with George Brauchler face-to-face, he didn't look that much like AC. Still.... I like the comparison.

Dr. Hanlon was proven to be biased for the defense exclusively; therefore, jury should note that and not just take that he's qualified to be an expert witness.

For this trial, GB has somewhat of an advantage when it comes to expert testimony. The state appointed doctors gave opinions favorable to the prosecution, so the prosecution was not in the position of having to go out and find a favorable psych opinion. Therefore, he is able to take a strong stance against the doctors and opinions brought forward by the defense. He is trying to show the jury that the defense "bought and paid for" their opinions which puts their experts in the "hot seat". I am sure the DT has prepared their witnesses for this type of examination of their opinions and are not hearing anything they have not heard before in other trials from other attorneys.

@FairMinded...Your comments make me think that indeed, you are NOT fair minded at all...I happen to be a fan of Attorney Brauchler...and think that he is beyond professional...he is a Prosecuting Attorney...He is doing a fabulous job!

Robin--I totally respect your opinion. I hope you can appreciate that people's opinions may differ from yours, and that those people may very well be fair minded all the same. Difference is beautiful! We all need to embrace it. We differ in our opinion about Brauchler. That's a great thing!

Unfortunately there's been a trend lately of individuals joining the group looking down on commentators for expressing their opinions. We should all understand that we are not on the jury, some of us may be emotionally involved with this case and that may include some biases (conscious or otherwise) toward one side or another. This is a forum where members of the public who are interested in this case can watch it unfold 'together' and have an ongoing conversation about it. Some of the dialogue tries to be objective and some is completely subjective. I wish folks who join the discussion could take it for what it is and not feel compelled to condescend to people who have chosen to express their feelings/opinions about this case here.

@FairMinded...Thank you for your reply...I do respect and appreciate other's (your) opinions...I just think that yours was somewhat "harsh" towards Attorney Brauchler...IMO...I agree completely that "Difference" is a "Beautiful Thing"...It is what leads to good debate and understanding...I happen to side with the PT...and feel that they have presented a very strong case against JH and his DT...I find that Attorney Brauchler is beyond professional and disagree with your assessment of him...I also feel that he would be a Great Politician...

I won't make up my mind on jh's sanity until all evidence is in. i think most people feel this way. however, i think this is a great chat room b/c we can sound off our emotional frustrations while still being polite. i also think that the 7news folks are doing a terrific job moderating, streaming and keeping us informed. -
@FairMinded. I was curious to know if you watched the Jodi Arias trial with Juan Martinez questioning Jodi Arias? He was quite forceful with her.

Anica, It's unfortunate you are put in any kind of position to feel the need to defend your role here. I appreciate ALL you have done and am well aware you have to be extremely busy behind the scenes as well as watching the testimony unfold. I come here for updates and opinions on what's happening. @Jennier Juan Martinez is an embarrassment to the law. We can't get into all the stuff he did (and got caught doing) during that trial. He's a joke and extremely unprofessional.

JH studied neuroscience so he would know how to plan his insanity defense. He failed on purpose. His agenda was in place before he ever moved to Colorado.

The notebook= best evidence thus far and for the DT(believe it or not) If on jury, this would be something would focus on most. That and Dr last week, and what imo, the PT took too far and provided Dr opportunity to almost make sense. Yes, a stretch but enough for a juror to question all of this more.

How many times was JH given the same test?? wouldn't he have gotten a good understanding on how to answer these tests..
