Yesterday after the jury was dismissed Holmes put his hand up to his chin and held his jaw with his right hand. Yet all during the day and on almost all days his hands are down on his lap and he sits stoically. He is slightly more animated when the jury is not in the room. To me this shows he's been coached and maybe a lot less affected by a mental disorder that his "experts" say he is.
Just as the defense has to put on a vigorous defense for JH, the prosecutors must put on a vigorous offense for the State. Pointing out flaws and discrepancies of experts is part of that. The court system is an adversarial one and everyone is just doing their jobs.
@Me...I am hoping that you will be able to express your views in another way that will not go unpublished...I am truly curious as to why you have such a problem with the Prosecution Team in this trial...
Unbelievable, this trial should be stopped right now. Ch. 7 does not respect due process showing reruns of the prosecution during the lunch break. It stinks badly. No wonder this blog is a voice for prejudice and bias, not justice, and certainly not open-mindedness. This trial has nothing to do with the tragedy of the victims. Ch. 7 should be ashamed. What did the judge say about this? Did he know, what was happening while at lunch? Calling his office to ask.
Brauchler has been reprimanded by the judge several times for tweeting and texting DURING trial. He likes the sound of his own voice. He showboats with every witness. He likes the camera when he's not in the courtroom just a bit too much. He bashes every single Doctor and professional that has been in this trial. He's arrogant and very, very unprofessional with the way he conducts himself in the courtroom. That is why I am "so against" the prosecutor. And before anyone jumps down my throat for being a JH supporter, don't. Don't go there. I can dislike the prosecutor, doesn't mean I support the defense.
@Me...I, by no means am implying that you are a JH supporter...but, am curious as to why you think that Attorney Brauchler is so offensive...he is doing his job...it is a trial practice...he has a job to prove beyond a reasonable doubt...his "method" is intentional...he has to be somewhat intimidating to witnesses on cross...it is his job...
I think this forum often (not always) focuses on the wrong details and information. It is not about the lawyers it is about the evidence, testimony and credibility of witnesses that is most important! Let's not give the specific lawyers any more attention than necessary. :p
Brauchler doesn't sound angry at the witness, but at the defense for skewing the results or report, and it even sounds to me like the witness is kind of warming up to Brauchler because of what he was denied. Plus, Brauchler was able, again to get the one and only gir'friend/sexual encounter before the jury's ears.
Come on, everyone...let's all agree to disagree. Nevertheless, you cannot argue my next point. While at home, Mr. King wears clown shoes while eating fun-dip and watching M.A.S.H. re-runs. GB wears only suspenders and boxer shorts while smoking a cigar, watching himself drink coffee in a full length mirror.
It's not about whether the jury can stand Brauchler or not, it's about listening to and weighing the evidence in order to reach a verdict. If they're going to base their verdict on how they feel personally about Brauchler, then they shouldn't be on the jury in the first place. Brauchler, whether anyone likes his style or not, whether anyone agrees with him or not,is fighting for justice for the victims! This trial, at the end of the day, is about justice for the victims not a personality contest.
