Homicidal ideation without a specific plan is not rare. Various studies have shown that 20-90% of the population will acknowledge having them, higher in young men and in schizophrenics. That's why the legal/psychiatric emphasis on the question of whether there is a specific target and a plan to do it.

It seems Mother is contradictory to Father's testimony. He said they weren't worried about him being depressed. She said they were worried about depression post-break up. He said that he'd (JH) never had a girlfriend. Mother said
"...usually when he had a break up, ... etc.". Interesting that 2 people can interpret things so differently. I do understand that is possible, though...but it's not consistent -if they discussed JH's "scenario"/downslide together as his parents.

Anita Bowen- 'have to say I agree with you. 'Subtle, but yes-she seems to be doing that. Blame...mostly on Fenton. Emotional & tough, but quite a few inconsistencies. ..
