My parents never went to my parent/teacher conferences, volunteered at my school and we never went on even one vacation. Naturally, they divorced. JH had an idyllic childhood.

Majority of people don't know the victims or survivors names, I think the focuses should be on them and their family and their friends rather than this coward murderer. He deserves the death penalty

Even if AH suspected something was wrong, based on this history who would EVER suspect mass murdering??? She said she wondered how he even knew to use a gun. This makes sense. SO many other more wacky behaviors by other people that you hear about every day.

I think AH was the controlling one, with RH being mostly absent. Remember JH's pact to himself to never making his mother mad? And Chris talked about having frequent clashes with her mother. Still don't blame the parents, just not very moved by AH.

Seems like this kid was made to feel VERY important for his whole life - maybe losing his girlfriend and school career made him feel less important which made him mad at everyone therefore kill people and become important again. A SEVERE case of indulgence or just spoiled rotten.

@Sophia- 'Agreed. I have never, ever, ever heard of a person who is truly mentally ill, write, in a premeditated way, "...research mental illness, and Colorado firearms laws"!!! Those self-written "reminders" are the most foreboding, revealing, & incriminating evidence I think I've ever heard of...plus, of course, the circled date on the calendar. He self- described to Dr. Reid as having "disorganized thoughts" & "regressive behavior". Folks suffering from mental illness don't have that self-awareness, with the exception of a personality disorder (borderline, narcissistic, etc.).
