This time is not being spent wisely by discussing too much irrelevant family history. Should be focused on how this cerebral, unemotional family missed signs of mental illness (not blaming them) and raised kids in an environment where problems and complaining are not to be brought into the light.

I can understand wanting to make sure the jury understands he was a very different person before his illness took over. Mental illness creates a night and day difference in someone when it is as serious as schizophrenia. But going on this long is hurting them. Instead of humanizing him, I think they are going to be seen trying to paint him as angelic, too unrealistic.
