@Tiki Morally it's right to take the life of a murder? Isn't that hypocritical? Executions have no place in a civilized society.

@Phil- Did the judge forget to ask the Prosecution if they want to call any witnesses etc.? I know they indicated that they wouldn't, but I thought it was unusual he didn't mention/ask in open court with the jury

hey Phil - I heard that some of the victims/families have not been in the courtroom the last few days because they did not want to see this testimony. Can you confirm this? Dont know where i heard that

For those of us who have lived or are living with schizophrenia or other mental illness in their family or close friends, do you not have a tiny bit of doubt about the veracity of JH and the show he has put on? Mental illness has no markers that you can definitively show, no blood tests, no x rays, no concrete something to hold in your hand. If he is willing to destroy his life by this heinous crime, why not play the "crazy card"? I know any of us could talk to the doctors, the therapists, etc and keep this charade up. A lot of his belief (a life is worth one, etc) sound more like a video game to me. The fact that no one has been able to show any real changes in his life--he was always non-communicative, a loner, and this last testimony shows him to be a privileged child who didn't get his way--he failed at grad school. If he could plan this crime, why could he not plan this "broken brain"? And how much damage has he done for those of us who may at some point need the world to really understand what a mental illness can do to a life and a family and a community?
