Theater shooting trial day 59: Phase 2 closing arguments

This afternoon, both sides will present their closing arguments in phase two of the penalty process, which focuses on mitigating factors.Jurors have already confirmed they found aggravating factors in the mass shooting for which they convicted the gunman. After closing arguments, the same jurors must decide if the mitigating factors outweigh those factors.Essentially, jurors will be asked to decide between giving the gunman a life prison sentence or moving on to phase 3 -- the final step toward the death penalty.Holmes was convicted on 165 counts including murder and attempted murder for the shooting that killed 12 and injured 70 others during a midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado. His defense attorneys unsuccessfully argued that he was insane at the time of the shooting.

If you believe the DT then who should be to blame for this? His parents for not understanding his mental illness and getting real help, since it ran in the family, or Dr. Fenton who saw him long after the middle school years? Just saying....quit hating on the professionals who were dealing with an adult and did all they were lawfully allowed to do.

I would imagine that alot of his community involvement was an effort to dress up college applications. The murderer showed up when his big dreams were going down the tube.

Not buying Brady's argument, but definitely better than King. Do these lawyers not get public speaking classes? Her hands behind her back is a basic no no because it looks so contorted and in this case - she looks handcuffed... Not really the impression she would want to make.
