How did Brady get even 1 vote, let alone 13 thus far...? Gag. (*thanks for the poll thouh Phil).

Poll us again on when we expect verdict now!
by Sophia8/6/2015 10:10:57 PM
@Sophia: just a sec. I will
by Phil Tenser8/6/2015 10:11:06 PM
Did Ms. Brady seriously need notes to remind her to show compassion for the experience of the victims?! Disgusting. Defense Attorneys are disgusting!
by Support for Victims8/6/2015 10:11:14 PM
There's no burden of proof in this phase Dan Recht...you guys need a better legal analyst who isn't so defense minded and that knows the law.
by JAM8/6/2015 10:11:18 PM
Dan Recht can read my tea leaves

If I were on the jury I would of been offended by Brady. I would of felt she was attacking me.
by Anita Bowen8/6/2015 10:11:22 PM
Thank you Dan!!!
by caz8/6/2015 10:11:23 PM
emotions are temporal. justice has to have an opp for redemption, but emotionally charged people should not serve on a jury, where emotions are to be put aside. 1st phase just didn't cut it. Jurors just didn't seem to have enough to even ask the most serious questions. did follow CO protocol, but all in all,not impressed because it showed the ugliest side in seeking revenge. seems an opp for law changes in this morally poor state

Phil, was Marshall in the courtroom? Any observations about reactions from people there?
by Marshall Zelingervia twitter8/6/2015 10:11:41 PM
I think Mr. Brauchler gave the jury a subliminal gift---they could potentially deliberate through this last decision, fill out the jury forms, and end this before Friday. Then, take a long week-end before resuming "normal life". They deserve it.

Brb to finish the comments and catch up on the polling that was requested
by Phil Tenser8/6/2015 10:13:07 PM
I am a little disappointed the the PT did not use @Sophia's suggestion and take his human worth "point" away. Maybe we will get lucky and a sheriff's employee or someone who works at the jail can/will make that happen. Any bets on how soon the crazies will reach out and "that guy" gets engaged/ and or married?
by SJW8/6/2015 10:24:10 PM
Brady's patronizing attitude about mental illness was extremely offensive to me. I am mentally ill, but I am fully accountable for my actions. She's an ableist.
by Puglove8/6/2015 10:24:11 PM
There is still going to be a 3 hour delay between the announcement that the jury has come to a decision and when the actual verdict is read, correct?

by Suzanne8/6/2015 10:24:52 PM
i don't think they made a strong statement about him actually being mentally ill
by nofordp8/6/2015 10:24:53 PM
GB almost lost it when talking about Veronica
by mandi8/6/2015 10:24:53 PM
Brauchler did his rebuttal within his closing statements..he anticipated the mercy argument, the emotional plea - and he expertly covered it.
by JW8/6/2015 10:25:00 PM
which juror writes a book first?
by CSP8/6/2015 10:25:02 PM
@Phil - Brauchler's very last in his argument. He uses the shooters full name, I think for the very first time this whole trial and says justice is death.
by colo8/6/2015 10:25:04 PM
I believe that they will sentence him to death because that is what Arapahoe County does. Regardless of the evidence presented.
by Stacie8/6/2015 10:25:14 PM
Listening again to Brady's objections. She always has to assume that the jury wouldn't know what to do. She has to clarify what AC says.
by Suzanne8/6/2015 10:25:22 PM
@Sue- he will receive treatment in the prison- there are mental health facilities there. Would love to see how he is functionging n 6 or 8 months. Wonder if he is still in need of antipsychotics.
by MW8/6/2015 10:25:26 PM
Brady's quote abut how many doctors would it take to show he had a mental illness? was very powerful
by Matt8/6/2015 10:25:28 PM
You could go with Brady's media friendly quote about 'his soul screaming for help' or you could go with her quote that totally summed up the defense position for me: "They (victims) were just some people".
by Sophia8/6/2015 10:25:33 PM
I'm guessing the jury has already agreed but will decide to take a night to sleep on it. My vote is we'll get notice on verdict by noon tomorrow.
by Sophia8/6/2015 10:25:34 PM
SJW -So, so well put. The ONLY "MENTAL ILLNESS " is that which he created in survivors (PTSD, depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, etc.). I've thought that all along. He and his team MANUFACTURED this as a defense, & the classic symptoms he researched & feigned couldn't be ignored by dr.'s DT paid/used, although court appointed clearly saw through his BS & inconsistencies. His parents didn't show a bit of remorse either. Your comment was spot on. DT's entire case was an INSULT to TRUE mental illness victims (As well as cancer victims).
by BluesB 8/6/2015 10:25:36 PM
Brady doesn't like the word 'evil'. She needs to talk to JH, because 'evil' is alive and well.

by Anita Bowen8/6/2015 10:25:41 PM
@ Phil...interesting what is happening with the polls. I had anticipated that people that thought GB "won" would say they would vote for DP and vice versa. This is what is happening.
