emotions are temporal. justice has to have an opp for redemption, but emotionally charged people should not serve on a jury, where emotions are to be put aside. 1st phase just didn't cut it. Jurors just didn't seem to have enough to even ask the most serious questions. did follow CO protocol, but all in all,not impressed because it showed the ugliest side in seeking revenge. seems an opp for law changes in this morally poor state

I think Mr. Brauchler gave the jury a subliminal gift---they could potentially deliberate through this last decision, fill out the jury forms, and end this before Friday. Then, take a long week-end before resuming "normal life". They deserve it.

I am a little disappointed the the PT did not use @Sophia's suggestion and take his human worth "point" away. Maybe we will get lucky and a sheriff's employee or someone who works at the jail can/will make that happen.
Any bets on how soon the crazies will reach out and "that guy" gets engaged/ and or married?

@Phil - Brauchler's very last in his argument. He uses the shooters full name, I think for the very first time this whole trial and says justice is death.

I believe that they will sentence him to death because that is what Arapahoe County does. Regardless of the evidence presented.

@Sue- he will receive treatment in the prison- there are mental health facilities there. Would love to see how he is functionging n 6 or 8 months. Wonder if he is still in need of antipsychotics.

SJW -So, so well put. The ONLY "MENTAL ILLNESS " is that which he created in survivors (PTSD, depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, etc.). I've thought that all along. He and his team MANUFACTURED this as a defense, & the classic symptoms he researched & feigned couldn't be ignored by dr.'s DT paid/used, although court appointed clearly saw through his BS & inconsistencies. His parents didn't show a bit of remorse either. Your comment was spot on. DT's entire case was an INSULT to TRUE mental illness victims (As well as cancer victims).
