James Holmes will learn his punishment for 141 other crimes tied to this case in a hearing that begins Monday; these crimes include the charges for explosives planted in his apartment.Victims, families and the gunman will have another chance to address the court, similar to the other sentencing phase. The key difference is that there will be no jury in this hearing and the sentencing decisions will all be made by the judge.

I just wanted to say, anyone who thinks Brauchler, or any lawyer for that matter, has no emotion, no feelings, they're just out to kill defendants, it's all political, they're in it for the money, listen to pain in Brauchler's voice. This is a man who tried to fight for the lives lost and those affected by Jessica's death, but it wasn't enough. These people are their families now.

@Coco. I understand that the families will never stop grieving. God Bless them all. However, this jury should have sentenced him to death. What I don't understand is that one juror held out. Couldn't this be grounds for a mistrial since she lied about her feelings about the death penalty in the voire dire process? -

God bless all police officers and first responders in every city. This shows only one little molecule of the life they lead everyday. Putting their lives before others to protect and serve. My utmost respect to all of them. I will pray that they too will get the emotional help they need and civil respect they deserve.
