James Holmes will learn his punishment for 141 other crimes tied to this case in a hearing that begins Monday; these crimes include the charges for explosives planted in his apartment.Victims, families and the gunman will have another chance to address the court, similar to the other sentencing phase. The key difference is that there will be no jury in this hearing and the sentencing decisions will all be made by the judge.
FPsych.... I am back now, but hesitate to post due to the unfortunate conversation taking place in this Scribble chat.

I am here. Agreed
by FPsych8/25/2015 9:52:03 PM
@sherrie, I wouldnt worry about it. some of the comments are so ridiculous that its obvious they didnt come from the real person
by emma8/25/2015 9:52:44 PM
I missed a few days. So they are going to release Jimmy?
by Court Junkie8/25/2015 9:52:56 PM
I feel like I stuck my tongue to a frozen flag pole.
by Sherrie H8/25/2015 9:53:18 PM
@Sherri - see? (eye roll)
by emma8/25/2015 9:53:51 PM
You can see what appears to be the cable mechanism under JH's chair

King is getting sleepy again. SMH!
by Kristle8/25/2015 10:00:45 PM
He killed me at 6 years old I still want him to get the Death Penalty
by Veronica8/25/2015 10:02:26 PM
ignore the trolls...
by emma8/25/2015 10:03:47 PM
Incredible devastation. The death penalty will not heal these people.
by Face Ripper8/25/2015 10:08:18 PM
Sorry I can't speak without cussing. Veronica deserves to be heard, as well as The fetus, that was absoluteluy no threat to the monster.
by emma8/25/2015 10:17:15 PM
The victim impact statements do make it apart of the court trial in a sense Rebecca Gomez. You have been heard!
by CindyL8/25/2015 10:18:56 PM
I was/am strongly in favor of the death penalty for the pathetic killer, Holmes. However, thinking about the rapacious crowd of idiots he's going to be spending the rest of his life with in jail....it's starting to sound not all that bad. Holmes is used to a privileged, pampered childhood and a civilized, high-tone setting in academia...I don't guess he will much enjoy hanging out with tatted, hardened prisoners with a 70 - 80 range IQ, or listening to their social chatter all night long. Their idea of fun things to do while living out their sentences might be a lot different than Jimmy's idea of fun.
by flip8/25/2015 10:26:24 PM
@flip he'll die before he rots!! Someone will off him soon enough!
by Joey8/25/2015 10:30:34 PM
@flip I'm finding comfort that he will never feel safe, not even in a solitary cell.
by Resa8/25/2015 10:32:32 PM
I hope that Holmes will be put in the general Population, but he may end up in a protected hospital area where things will be easier for him.
by TB8/25/2015 10:33:15 PM
@Resa if he did get solitary it would only be for so long! Max is 10 years
by Joey8/25/2015 10:33:32 PM
@TB They have said he won't be in any kind of hospital and that the prison area he will be in isn't a walk in the park area that's it's not a good area at all
by LG8/25/2015 10:34:44 PM
@flip we know there won't be suicide because he couldn't off himself in the first place!!!
by Joey8/25/2015 10:35:41 PM
I still think he should have gotten the death penalty and had to fear its inevability for years.
by Tammy Garrison8/25/2015 10:35:46 PM
Thank you LG, I'm delighted to hear it!
by TB8/25/2015 10:35:46 PM
Thanks for cleaning up the comments!
by emma8/25/2015 10:35:51 PM
@TB your welcome
by LG8/25/2015 10:36:17 PM
yeah the truth cannot allowed to get out via comments/opinions.
by emma8/25/2015 10:37:06 PM
unfortunately one juror sandbagged her way onto the jury and "saved" Jimmy
by mandi8/25/2015 10:37:47 PM
Dear goodness. Not another lecture from the Judge.
by kindlezee8/25/2015 10:37:57 PM
How can these people not look at Holmes and curse him out? I would have a hard time with that.
by Deb8/25/2015 10:38:11 PM
@mandi that's not true, they were all open about their DP thoughts and they shared if they could or couldn't it was in the information shared of a few of the jurors that was given out to the media
by LG8/25/2015 10:39:56 PM
I think the judge wants to explain the reasoning for the laws so they dont just sit with anger about the outcome and let it fester..
by emma8/25/2015 10:40:14 PM
@ mandi, I wonder about that myself. If her mind was made up when she got on the jury then she was cruel to let the punishment stage get past stage two. Any amount of decency would have made her stop at the mitigation stage.
by TB8/25/2015 10:40:33 PM
Brauchler has been pushing the one juror hold-out meme in media interviews. He needs to stop.
by Face Ripper8/25/2015 10:41:02 PM
The lectures by the Judge are also to ensure the court reporter gets it into the record.
by Kristle8/25/2015 10:41:44 PM
Just what people in the depth of emotional pain need is a lecture.
by kindlezee8/25/2015 10:41:48 PM
when Juror #17 was interviewed, she said one juror want not willing to consider DP at all
by mandi8/25/2015 10:42:11 PM
*was
by mandi8/25/2015 10:42:35 PM
Nothing wrong with his lecture.
by Deb8/25/2015 10:42:48 PM
"Just what people in the depth of emotional pain need is a lecture" They need to come to an understanding. Contempt for the court does not cut it here.
by Face Ripper8/25/2015 10:43:14 PM
the jury questionaire is online - check it out before you all start making assumptions about that one juror. That jury and procecution did exactly what they needed to do!!
by blsisner8/25/2015 10:43:16 PM
@mandi that information about the jury was known ahead of time if you go back and look at the informaton that was shared about the jury's you will find it... so both sides knew that's how that jury felt before the trail started nothing was hidden
by LG8/25/2015 10:43:40 PM
Wow!! this is about the victims not your monster of a son!!!
by Joey8/25/2015 10:43:40 PM
but please buy my book....
by mandi8/25/2015 10:43:45 PM
Oh, Arlene, please stuff it!
by Keeter8/25/2015 10:44:22 PM
@mandi - I believe in the sincerity of what she is saying
