Prof. Vijayaraghavaen said when he interviewed the defendant he rated him pretty highly. He appeared to be quiet, reserved during the interview. "My overall impression was that he was quiet and a little socially awkward," Vijayaraghavaen said.
Prof. Vijayaraghavaen said James Holmes was one of the finalists and identified him as the defendant.

Maria Carbonell said she was grazed by "something" and lost her shoes running out of the theater. She punctured the bottom of her foot on a stick and was treated at University Hospital.
Maria Carbonell said she went out left exit to the lobby and saw people just standing there. She screamed at them to run. Carbonell said she got outside and screamed for her children, "Armando! Anna!"
Maria Carbonell said she stopped to help a person and lost her children. She said she saw one dead body and had to step over another person. She didn't know if that person was dead.
Maria Carbonell said her daughter was holding her legs, she couldn't understand why she wasn't getting up to run.
Maria Carbonell: "I remember thinking 'How am I going to get the 2 [children] to be quiet so we can play dead?'"
Maria Carbonell: "I remember a sting going across my thigh... I remember Jasmine screamed for her mom."
Maria Carbonell: "Things just kind of got really quiet for me... I remember having my arms around Jasmine and I had my hand on [my son's] pants, I didn't let go."
Maria Carbonell: "I grabbed my coat, put it over my nose so I could breathe. I remember not being able to breathe and my eyes burning."
Maria Carbonell said she heard a noise she thought was a T-shirt gun. Her son jumped up and yelled "Stink bomb!" and she grabbed him by the pants and pulled him down.
Maria Carbonell: "I saw the exit door open and at first I thought 'How rude.' I thought maybe it was an employee."
Maria Carbonell: "Sully, he gave my son a 'Dark Knight Rises' hat and key chain." It was the first time he had met her son.
Maria Carbonell said her son and daughter were 12 and 15 at the time.
Maria Carbonell said she went to the movie with her two children to meet her friends from Red Robin. She brought her two children. They were excited about the movie and it was also Alex Sullivan's birthday.
